Holistic therapy promotes wellness and healing by addressing and supporting the connection between the mind and body. As an experienced Holistic Therapist, I integrate a range of evidence-based therapies via one-one counselling support and/or group classes that prevent and/or improve mental health issues and body-based stress as clients journey toward greater wellness.

Working through life challenges and/or strained relationships can be stressful and isolating, resulting in feelings of anxiety, low mood or a sense of being stuck in a cycle of unhealthy patterns. Chronic stress can impact our self concept, lead to poor boundaries, poor work/life balance, chronic illness and body-based pain, substance use disorders, and a variety of other symptoms. To move forward in our lives, it is helpful to honor our experiences, accept that deeper emotions are appropriate in certain situations and work to build trust in ourselves - mind & body - to know the difference.

I feel privileged to hold space for individuals, couples and families as they rediscover strengths and illuminate life's joys. The human experience is both beautiful and complex, and while we are resilient beings we all need individualized support at times.

My goals as a therapist & wellness coach

My goal as a one-to-one therapist is to provide a safe space for individuals and couples to develop skills that work for them. I draw on a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness within my practice. I am passionate about facilitating treatment that engages the deep life work required to develop interpersonal effectiveness and committed behaviour change.

As a wellness coach and group instructor, I am dedicated to working with a wide range of individual presentations through somatic movement based classes. I have a unique passion for helping to "bring the body back online" in a world that demands a disproportionate degree of cerebral work ("thinking" over "feeling"), which often leaves us feeling disconnected from ourselves and can lead to nervous system disruption and burnout.  

 Improving overall wellness and healing the mind and body takes time. It's a process that requires a great deal of self compassion, and my hope is that given you're here reading this, you also agree that your wellness is worth the investment.

My wellness space

My office is located at 397 Bedford Hiway in Halifax NS (3rd floor, room 309). My office shares a hallway with other wellness practitioners, which creates a sense of alignment, purpose and wellness based refuge in addition to providing access to additional resources. I meet with one-to-one psychotherapy clients in my private office, and have access to a beautiful studio in which I facilitate group coaching/somatic yoga classes. It is important to me to create a safe space that prioritizes client comfort and well-being. 

I accept Blue Cross Insurance. For other benefit providers please consult with your insurance company to see if my service is available to you. I will provide receipts for reimbursement.  Group classes are not billable.
